On the wall above my sofa bed, I hung a floor-length mirror that reflects light from the window and makes the room look twice as large. Every item that can hang should hang. Bicycles, pots, guitars, coats, bags. Once your floor is clear, your brain stops feeling claustrophobic. I keep a small step stool in the corner to reach the high shelves.
